Hi!

My laptop just started to get painfully slow, it has a hard drive, but I know they are slow. But that is not my point. My desktop's HDD is 250 GB and only has 50 GB free. My laptop has 1000 GB and over 600 GB free. My desktop's speeds are many times faster. Sure my desktop has a quad core sandy bridge I5 and my laptop has an A8 series APU. But I do not think that matters. They even both have 8 GB DDR3. Even browsing the internet immediately started getting slow. It is not the connection because a 1 GB file on my laptop would take 50 MINUTES! But my desktop only would take several seconds. I even have tried using Ethernet, but the speed was still the same. Any help? AND my laptop randomly shuts off :/

what is the specs of yer laptop?

Wait, is your internet slow like loading videos or doing something else.

it could possibly be from the meltdown/spectre security update? that or ur computer just has a virus and that could be your issue.

Maybe virus. Run malawarebytes, windows defender, and eset antivirus.
