Jailbreak Safe Mode?

Go to solution Solved by Mbarton,

I think your better off resetting it in itunes just so you don`t brick it by accident.

Hey guys..and maybe girls.. I recently jailbroke my iphone 4s with ios7 and evasion 7. The jailbreak worked great and all until I installed a tweak which apparently wasn't updated and was causing my phone to boot loop. I looked up how to manually enter safe mode and it said to hold the plus button while restarting the phone. I did this and now my phone boots up. My only problem now is that it isn't in the regular safe mode where it says safe mode where the time usually is. Instead it seems to have just stopped the tweaks. The options to configure the tweaks in settings are no longer there however the installed apps. (Emulators.etc) are. I tried re-springing, rebooting etc etc. To no avail. I even tried re-installing the mobile substrate which did nothing. I also obviously uninstalled the tweak which was causing problems in the first place. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on and how to fix it? I realize I could restore it however that is my LAST resort and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions other than that.

Go into cydia, uninstall the thing causing the problem then reboot. You should be set.

I did do that as stated in the original post. " I also obviously uninstalled the tweak which was causing problems in the first place."-me

With my ipod touch I just uninstalled the package that was the problem, but you said you tried that. Do you have a lot of other packages installed? It could be over loaded if you have too many but I am not sure if that happens.

No I have tried uninstalling all the extra packages now as well.I think it has something to do with the half/safe mode

Oh thats weird. I have not looked into the iOS 7 jailbreaking being the last time I had an iOS device was very early iOS6. But if you can bring yourself to do it I would re-jailbreak. I know I had to do that a lot.

It might be something else acting up as well. What I would do is uninstall everything thing that you know might be the cause of the problem and if it still happening maybe a reboot through evasion. I persoanly haven't used evasion as I prefer Redsn0w over anything else but it might work,
