Hey guys, i'm getting a new PC for my friend and was wondering if this is the way to go

I was looking at buying this

http://www.microcenter.com/product/503343/Elite_8300_Desktop_Computer_Off_Lease_Refurbished

and

http://www.microcenter.com/product/472012/GeForce_GTX_1050_Overclocked_2GB_GDDR5_Video_Card

This should be around $400 plus tax and also

or we might buy a desktop for around $350 with a Ryzen 2200g without a graphics card.

What are your guys thoughts?

Get the Ryzen 2200g, it's iGPU should do fine for a while, and the AM4 socket has a better upgrade path than the i5-3470 (Outdated socket). And it's cheaper and more customisable than that refurbed OEM.

Depends if your friend wants to upgrade latter down the line. The ryzen platform will give better upgradeability options. The refurb + the 1050 is o k but will eventually become outdated again with no upgradability. Personally id go with the ryzen 2200g as on medium to low settings all games will be more then playable.
