@bigsmiley2014 Have you "unlocked" the slot by pushing down the flap on the end?

Got a evga 1070sc and a MSi z370 gaming plus mobo and I am having trouble installing my gpu... help would be nice

What's the issue? Looks like the red tab to the right end of the slot is pressed down toward the mobo as it should be, so card should just push in and click the tab forward away from the mobo, then you can screw the card down on the left side

CPU: AMD Sempron 2400+ / MOBO: Abit NF7-S2G / GPU: WinFast A180BT 64MB / RAM: Mushkin DDR333 256MBx2 / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 120GB

Yes

Maybe your motherboard is too close to the back of the case and is preventing the the part of the card to go into the slits of the case, or maybe the case is slightly crooked.

There are holes back there that the tips of those metal tabs go through to secure the card and prevent sagging. I'm guessing something is obstructing them or you're just missing them while trying to slide it in.

Oh and most importantly!

Did you put in the motherboard stand offs or were they already there before installing the motherboard?

If not, do that ASAP.

Otherwise, you could ruin your motherboard when you try to turn it on.

They look like this. Probably black though:
