Quadro VS SLI

Hello Linus, 

I've been watching your videos for over 2 or 3 years and right now I have a question that made me curious about. Which one is better, Quadro GPU or multiple GPU's in SLI for workbench like simulations. Please let me know when you have made a video about it.

For rendering things, I don't think one uses SLI, but rather has each GPU working independently. I could be wrong about that though.

 

Quadros are incredibly good at rendering and other similar things though, I wouldn't expect a lot of SLI setups to be able to surpass one.

That depends on the cards you're comparing and the specific workloads. 

 

Quadro vs SLI (or rather, multiple GPUs. SLI is for gaming generally) could be a Quadro P6000 vs 2x GTX 750s, it wouldn't be a fair comparison.

yep, it just depends on the workload, a work load that benefits from multiple GPU's working together would be better with a SLI config

a workload that benefits from a lot of VRAM and workstation grade tech would be better with a quadro

it just depends on the workload
