sorry if the title is a little bit misleading but i wanted to know should i just get a card that will take wifi or get a powerline adapter?

Depends on what you need the internet for, specifically. Like if you just do casual web browsing, Wifi should be enough.

For constant online gaming, I'd recommend powerline.

depends on your personal preference: Wifi for plug and play but less reliability and speed. Powerline adapters for a more consistend speed but more setup cost/work

powerline if you are fine to replace them every year and don't have plugged in bad psu near the adapter.

Make sure you get one that supports the speed you need, and that you have the right category Ethernet cables.
