Hello guys

 

I bought Assassin's Creed Origins on Uplay the other day and have had huge getting it to work. The problem is that when i launc the game through either desktop shortcut, through Uplay, or the exe file itself (even as administrator) it starts as normal but quickly just turns into a black screen. After this nothing happens and I have to shut it down on the task manager. There are no error messages or anything, it just turns black - that's it. A few times the game has succesfully run where I've been able to play, but it seems to be very random when this occurs. For example I got it to work last night but this morning it didn't and I havent touched a single thing between the attempts.

 

Things I have tried:

- Verify game files on Uplay

- Re-install Uplay AND the game itself (re-downloading as well)

- Clearing temporary files -> Run %Temp%

- Chosing a selective startup of the PC only running necessary microsoft applications

- Running the game as administrator and trying to run in compatibility for win 8

 

None of the above has helped and I would really appreciate if anyone would come with suggestions for me.
