So I recently moved and I brought my pc, unfortunately I think my motherboard was damaged in the shipping process.

Before I moved I had an issue with my motherboard that every month or two It wouldn't boot and the cause of this would be the XMP (extreme memory profile) not being enabled in bios for unkown reasons. I'd have to take one stick of ram out and then boot to BIOS and renable XMP (extreme memory profile). After I enabled XMP and reinsterted the second stick of RAM the PC would boot just fine.

After I unpacked my PC parts after moving I set out to rebuild it. I came into this same problem but this time after enabling XMP the PC still would not boot with two sticks of RAM. I tried both sticks of ram on Slot 1 and the PC would boot just fine, so I knew it wasn't a problem with my RAM. However, anyttime I tried to boot with a stick of RAM in either Slot 3 or 4 my PC simply would not boot even after enabling XMP in BIOS.

If I put both my ram sticks in Slot 1 and Slot 2 the PC would boot, however I would not have the benefit of dual channel. It doesn't matter how I configure it, either 1 stick only, or 2 sticks but as long as I have a stick of RAM in Slot 3 and/or 4 the PC would not boot even with XMP enabled.

I have tried increasing the RAM voltage but this did not fix the issue.

So what I'm trying to confirm from other people is if RAM Slot 3 and 4 are dead on my motherobard and how detrimental would it be to me if I kept using my PC with my current set up? I no longer have the benefit of dual channel RAM. Or is there just a one off chance both my RAM sticks have some weird issue where they wont work with Slots 3 and 4 on my motherboard.

Thanks in advance.
