Handbrake question while gaming/etc.

When using handbrake by itself I get a certain FPS and Average FPS and stuff like that.

When playing games or using browser, the FPS and AVG FPS goes down bc the CPU usage on handbrake is going down.

 

Is this affecting the video or is it just slowing down the conversion?

just slowing down the conversion, not affecting the video, don't worry. Ideally you would just leave handbrake sitting there so the compression/conversion finishes earlier, but I usually game or do other stuff and it ends up taking x2 longer.

 

In the advanced settings you can actually specify how many cores you want handbrake to use, so you can limit it to like half your cores.
