144hz vs Above

So my 27 Inch, 60Hz IPS 1080p monitor has served me well for the last 2 years. Yet I always had the desire to experience the glory of 144Hz, and since I play literally only Counter-Strike for years now, it's time.. Yet through out the years the monitors have evolved reaching new ground with 180 and even 240Hz. I'd like to hear from you guys whether you think there is a huge difference, I'am willing to sell my IPS monitor so I will have to live with a TN panel yet that's not an issue. I watched some videos about it but it takes me minutes to figure out different opinions per video, so I rather hear it from you guys who are more experienced than me. (Due to the late time in Germany I will both read and respond tommorow, share your opinons! =] )

dont sell your monitor keep it as a secondary.

btw i bought the asus swift pg278qr TN. it is greate it its 1440p and 165htz

I believe that the Asus ROG PG279Q is a way better option, if you can afford it.

For pure gaming / competitive pg278qr is way better . Faster(much less ghosting) , more safety in screen lottery , best choice for single and it will not hurt your eyes after long gaming sessions.

 

Pg279q better for casual gaming  / content / photos / movies . The best choice if you are going to triple / surround .

What if I get a pg278qr for the main and later add the 279q's as left and right monitors?
