Intense disk usage

Hi I feel like something is not optimized on my PC for example when I boot a game or a program other programs doesn't respond and after checking it I can see that my disk usage is really high when booting programs while others are running in the background. my C drive is an SSD and my D drive is an HDD, anyone got an idea on how to solve this?
