What is NAS?

can it be use as normal useage? like norma HDD Dock? Run only when computer on, or maybe not?

Can NAS enclosure uses, Westen Digital Black, But not the NAS Westen digital Red?

NAS stands for is network attached storage. No it can't be use as a normal hdd dock unless its hot swappable but you might as well by a dock . No it has it's own power supply. It doesn't matter what brand but if it's a Sata III enclosure I'd use Sata III drives that are 7200 rpm.
