About a month ago my windows started crashed out of no were its not even a blue screen or anything just fully locks up can`t do anything just hold the power button. It really seems its random sometimes it will crash as soon as I boot it up and sometimes after a few hours,I did try a few fixes seemed to work but after a day or 2 it started doing it again but not as much it can happen or not happen in a day.
If anyone knows how to fix this without reinstalling windows would be a lot of help I have a really slow connection so getting all my stuff back would take days.
Sorry if my English is bad :)

What are you doing when it crashes? What are your system specs? Do you have error logs or memory dumps? A little more information is needed before we can help figure out what's going on.

The memory logs can easily be found by searching for log in the searchbox. You can see in the logs if there have been any critical system warnings.

For more specific guidance: http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-10/how-to-use-event-viewer-in-windows-10/

Please keep an eye on your temperatures (perhaps there is dust in your system). I have seen these random freezes with faulthy RAM modules too. However at this point we are just speculating. If you have more information about the critical system warning please post a screenshot with the event openend so we can help you.

Ok so 2 days have passed the crashes did not happen so far  but lately It can hold out a day or 2 without crashing then on the 3 day it crashes again, I have no idea why is it so random when it comes to it.Monitored the temp for the 2 past 2 days as well did not go above what you would say normal temps 60-70 celsius  under some load and not pass 85 on full load. I hope this was some useful information for anyone that is reading this if anything else is needed pls tell me so I can find it because I don`t know how to troubleshoot this stuff :(

Hi! I had the same exact problem as you. Everything froze all the time, with no spikes of temperature and no error messages, not even in the log. Tried to fresh install Windows 7 and 10 about 5 times, swapping my SSD for a HDD with no luck.

So I swapped every single part of my rig with a whole other AM3+ system I had on hand, and it turned out it was my FX8350 that was acting up. As soon as I put it in the other system the whole thing just froze completely, while my PC with the other CPU was running completely fine. In the meanwhile I even bought a new mobo, but turned out to be useless. So I RMAd the CPU and got a replacement about a month ago, but even if it was WAY more reliable than before, it still crashed once or twice again.

Turned out my PSU was also bad (fryed my GPU, lucky me), even if the PSU tester was indicating a very steady voltage. I got my new PSU 4 days ago and no crashes yet even if I intentionally make my computer run 24 hours and reboot it every once in a while (fingers crossed).

So long story short, RMA your CPU if you are still under warranty, it may be irreversibly damaged, and check very closely your PC for any PSU-related problems. I'd even think about like a preventive RMA for it.

Good luck

PC specs:

AMD FX-8350

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

Asus GTX970 Strix

Antec HCG-750M

16gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance

Adata SU-700 128gb SSD

WD Black 1TB HDD

I have this PC with nothing changed in it for about almost 2 years I think and this problem started a moth ago.I really cant afford to swap anything in my PC atm so I guess I will have to suck it up and just reset it when it crashes if it keeps getting worst I still did not try a clean reinstall to see if that fixes the problem but I come here to see if there is a away to avoid it because I would need 5 days alone to redownload everything I had on my SSD :(
