I am trying to help a friend with an old pc he has had in storage for atleast 6 year set it up for someone he knows.
The thing has an old evga board with the phoenix award bios, but i can only get to the windows flag splash screen with the boot and then it reboots the system and continues to do so until i turn it off. I have an ssd in it right now that has 10 on it but it tries to use nvidia boot manager and i get a media check fail check cable. Ive replaced the cable and the ssd is known good.

How about some specs on the machine.  It's a little easier to help if we know what we are dealing with.

we put a old 950 i had lying around in it    we dont know what cpu or ram in it beside that its intel and corsair, the mb is an evga 132-CK-NF78-A1 psu is antec 850 watt
