Have you considered real headphones? They offer much better sound than gaming headsets for the same money or less.

I considered but there are so many choices and I want to keep it simple. Plus, I like having it wireless

I prefer open backs for gaming cause they are way better positionally and they don't make your own voice sound weird to yourself

This is not necessarily true. There isn't any direct correlation between open back and positional audio.

True, but most open backs do have better positioning, especially compared to crappy gaming headsets.

Eh.....I wouldn't necessarily say that. Best positional audio I've ever heard in a headphone, the T50RP MK3 is a closed back.

Well, you have much more experience so I'll take your word for it.

I think the reason that notion is out there is that there are more open headphones than closed headphones, so it just so happens that many of the headphones with good imaging and sound stage are open.

Don't you mean there are more GOOD open backs than closed? I have never, ever seen an open back or audiophile closed back in a store which might be why people buy beats and other hyped brands too much.

Well in the realm of audiophile headphones there are just more open backs than closed backs in general.

Definately. It drives me nuts when MKBHD or TechSource pushes the M50x or M70x even though they have K7xx and 598 respectively. The M(something)0x aren't bad, they just are very overpriced.

Disagree, M50X and M70X are awful. Wouldn't recommend them at any price.

K. Just saying how bad it is that MKBHD and a bunch of "Techtubers" recommend them like crazy. I like MKBHD because he is a kind of rich consumer type POV. His phone reviews are pretty good too IMO. The main problem with him shilling out for the M50x is that an average person would take his advice (he looks professional, dresses nicely, and has a fairly tidy studio) over like Linus's because he's disorganized and doesn't seem as professional.

None of the big tech Youtubers know anything about audiophile headphones. I touched on this in my M50X review.
