Yup!, you just need to re-install Steam, Origin, etc if you have not yet done so already and close them, and just transfer the games at the right location, and start them, and you are done. When you'll launch a game, at least for Steam (I don't know for Origin), it will look like it will start the download process of the game once again, but you'll notice that it will be real quick. Basically Steam is validating all the files it has, get whatever is missing, and then it will install whatever extra libraries that the game needs, and additional DRM if the game has, and of you go, the game will start. :)

Nice! Thank you very much!

Hello all,

So I was using my computer last night and somehow my keyboard and mouse drivers died, and I eventually just had to reinstall Windows 10. I lost everything on the C-Drive but I still have it all on the windows.old folder. Everything on my secondary drive seems to be intact. How would I go about getting everything that I had on my last installation onto the new one with the windows.old folder? Would the botched drivers still be in the windows.old folder?

My priority would be getting all of my games from Steam and Origin back on to the C-Drive, as it would take a few days to redownload everything again.

Is there a way I could go about doing this?

Thanks

You can open the Windows.old folder, and get what you want. Just transfer them where you want them.

You can't restore to Windows.old as you only can if you do upgrades.

Ah ok cool. So I should just simply be able to copy over things like Steam and Origin and their respective games and they should work?
