"Old" System, new Case

So I just finished putting my "old" system ( I7-6700k @4.7Ghz, HIS R9 390, Corsair H100i v2, Asus Z170-A) into my new case, the Lian Li Alpha 550w.

1. In my opninion the case is great to build in, you just have enough room to do what you want

2. I jumped on the RGB train, see how that turns out, but now I leave the lights off in my room

My system in my old case (sry for my crappy phone camera)

At first I put everything into the new case, except the GPU, Liquid Metal on the CPU (Thermal Grizzly Condauctonaut)

Then I looked sad at the cables...wich didn't change anything so I grapped my 10.000 Zipties

A bit later

(This side does face a shelve so I can't see it)

After all of that I put it on my desk and all the sidepanels on

And then I found the RGB Controle

That's all, the Liquid Metal did drop the CPU temperature around 25 degrees C, but the stock thermal paste from the cooler didn't make great contact with the CPU so it only covered half of it

That's all I have to say

Very beautiful!!!! Love the cable management job you did. About the only thing I might change is the pump cables, instead of going up and across, see if you can tuck them behind the VRM heatsink to hide them a bit and tighten up the fan cables there inside. Otherwise its an A+ from me. Excellent work.

TY!

I might do that, right now I'm looking how got the vrm gets with my overclock, but I will keep that in mind! (edit: the case is open behind the radiator(there is an open gap between the mobo mount the cable area, so I could just run them straight up and behind the pannel (all of that behind the fans and the radiator) so I'm definetly going to do that)

:)

Those ssd/hdd mounts are perfect for hiding the cpu power cable, on the 550 they are around 1,5 cm away from the motherboard tray so you can fit a ton of stuff behind there, and you can tie cables to the screw holes
