I want to build a system in the in win 301 I have already decided on the RGB fans I want to use but they only have a 3 pin fan connection will the work if I plug them into the 4 pin slots?and I need 1 intake fan what would you recommend.it would be the only intake in the system the hardware will be a 2400g and a Vega 56 later after the Mining shitfest IS over

They will work just fine. Only different between 3 and 4 pin is 4 pin is PWM where as 3 pin will just adjust the voltage. 

 

 

The 4-pin connectors use their additional connector to change fan speed on the fly through a process called pulse width modulation. The 3-pin connectors are used to control the fan speed through voltage differences.

Yes you can plug a 3pin header into the 4 pin on the mobo, it just leaves one pin standing alone.

 

For you intake, what size should it be? I would personally go for a BeQuiet! silent wing, even though I dont have any
