Logitech G930 or HyperX cloud Alpha?

I'm in the market for new headphones around the 100$ price range. What is the better buy?

i5-8600k, MSI Z370-A Pro, 2x 8GB DDR4-3k, MSI Gaming X 1060, NZXT S340, 2TB HDD, 750w Corsair PSU, AOC 2775 OC'd to 80Hz and CFG73 at 144hz

I didn't even realize this was a thing until after I posted this. Only did a few minutes of research. I think I will probably go with the alpha.

I've been a lurker of these forums for a while and signed up to reply to this thread. I've owned a G930 since 2011. My advice: between those two choices, go with the HyperX.

I love Logitech (own their G710+ keyboard and G502 mouse, no complaints), but the G930 is a bit... iffy. For one, even when it's loosened, the muffs tend to squeeze the pressure points around the ears, and it's uncomfortable (not painful, just... not comfortable) to wear for anything more than a brief duration. Speaking of the muffs, the ear pad cushions are that faux leathery material and degrade over time. I fully replaced both the ear pads and the center support pad with third party products because they would leave black specks all over my hair and clothing. The 7.1 is... decent, I suppose. Maybe I don't have enough audio experience with surround sound, but the 7.1 audio sounded like I was in a stadium, kinda echoey, like all the speakers weren't exactly in sync (if that makes sense).

The biggest issue I have with the G930 is that it randomly loses connection quite frequently. There's no rhyme or reason to it, even when the dongle is sitting unobstructed two feet from my face with no wireless devices in between. Some days it will work fine, and others I'll be in the middle of gameplay and lose all sound for about 5 seconds while it attempts to reconnect... again and again and again. This has been a common issue with the device since it was first sold, and I've scoured all the support threads about the issue with nary a fix.

I think I bought it in 2011 for about $129, and with the problems it's given me, I say it isn't worth it. Sure, it has great battery life (10 hours even with 7.1 enabled), the audio quality is fantastic, and it's wireless, but over time, the cons have outweighed the pros in my eyes.
