Air Cooler Help.

Nosfy
Go to solution Solved by deXxterlab97,

Temperature wise it is a downgrade. Noise wise it is a bit stepup.

But since you do not do hardcore OC then H7 is plenty.

Hello dudes.

After having loads of issues with AIO's I decided to move to an air cooler. Currently in my system there is a H100i v2 (that Corsair Link does not recognize) but I have just purchased a Cryorig h7

As I have never used an air cooler before I have some questions. First one is.. it is a mistake? Am I downgrading?

Second one, on aesthetics, when using a Air Cooler do you guys still have exhaust fans at the top of the case or do you not bother? Normally for me there would be a radiator there.

Btw I have an i7 8700k (no plans for any crazy overclock) and a Meshify C case.

Thanks.

When I'm using an aircooler I at least use 1 exhaust fan but for aesthetics I prefer to fill all exhaust slots with silenced optimized fans.

Cool. I think I will probably do that and just having them running low.

I'm doing the same thing. I've bought some Corsair SP120 Quiet fans and have them running at like 30%. I barely hear them at all :) And for looks, it's great!
