I found an ad on a local site with a desktop PC with the following specs:

  • i7-6700k
  • 16GB RAM DDR4 2400MHZ
  • GTX970
  • 1TB 7200 HDD
  • Some Gigabyte B150 mobo
  • some decent cooler
  • Corsair K65 keyboard
  • 650W PSU

I want to swap my MSI GP62MVR 7RFX Leopard Pro:

  • i7-7700HQ
  • 8GB RAM
  • GTX1060 3GB
  • 128GB SSD (I will keep my SSD)
  • 1TB HDD

Even if it's not the most profitable deal in the history, I will still get more performance with the desktop, right?

OC wise, I do not intend to do it right now, because of the motherboard and if I'm used to 3.4 Ghz on all cores, 4.2 Ghz will be a big improvement.

His asking price is 700 US dollars (converted from my currency), but then again, I'm looking to get more performance overall.

Any advice/heads up is welcome!

That is an excellent deal. Snap it up ASAP. The RAM alone is worth around $200.
