Synology DS218 / VLC

Hey guys, this is probably something simple that I'm doing wrong but here goes.

 

I have a Nas connected to my local network (wired) and I've added access to the drive / folders. For some reason VLC does not recognise them when it seeks for media, does not even see the mapped drive. So what am I doing wrong?

im having a similar issue since changing my router cannot get windows to map drives.

 

Have u tried a different media player?

That was my next step, I'd rather use VLC if possible as I'm familiar with it. But if another media player sees the drive then I know it's VLC at least.

Try a different player just to see.
