Hi there,

 

I took apart my dad's old Toshiba laptop to re purpose it and put it in a case to be a desktop,

so I took it apart and everything.

I plugged everything that needed to be plugged in, the power, power button, vga, etc.

However it doesn't post but has a steady green light blinking every few seconds.

Please help and thank you!

 

EDIT: When I press the power button the fan doesn't start spinning.

Did you plug in the CPU fan?

I haven't put it in a case but there is a possibility i dropped a screw somewhere while I pressed the on button...

I tried switching and swapping the RAM with each slot and stick, the fan doesn't spin or boot.

Well I feel dumb, I thought I had fully seated the ram but apparently not and that was my problem. Sorry for the wasted time!
