Hello everyone! I'm having some trouble with my pc and I'm looking for some help. I built it myself, but I'm by no means an expert. So any input would be greatly appreciated. The problem I'm having started this morning. My computer was running fine then it froze up. I turned it off and when I tried to turn it back on again, it just power cycled really fast. It wouldn't load any bios, or anything. The fans would spin,  the power led would blink, then it would immediately shutdown restart and repeat until the power was cut or it was shutdown manually. So I took the whole thing out of the case took it apart and put it back together. Now it's starting up, but It's not doing anything else. Everything appears to turn on, the fans spin, the ram cards light up, the cpu fans spin and light up, the hdd is spinning. It even sounds like it does when it boots normally. But I'm not getting anything to come up on the screen, no bios or anything. Here's my pc specs, if any other info is needed please just let me know. I'm sure I'm probably missing something. Thanks in advanced for any comments.

MotherBoard - Asus B350-F

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7

GPU - MSI Radeon RX 580

RAM - 2 8gb DDR4 SDRAM G. Skill Tridentz RGB Modules

HDD - Western Digital 1 Terabyte

PSU - EVGA 600 B (600 Watt)

P.S. I've attached a few pics. Some with the pc on, and some with the pc off. I know they're not the best pics, but maybe I'm missing something incredibly obvious.

Yeah, I think I tried that. This is a stupid question I'm sure. But when it say "short the pins" it means connect them with something metal right, like the tip of a screwdriver? And the computer should be completely shut down and unplugged from the power source. Does that sound correct?

I just double checked and watched a couple videos to make sure I'm doing it right. I'm 99.9% sure I did. I tried it with and without the mobo battery. So I think I can cross CMOS Reset off the list.

You're supposed to take the battery out for like 30 seconds and put it back in with the system shut off not try to start it up without the battery if I read that correctly.

Try reseating your memory again.

I know you already took everything apart and put it back together but this is worth a 2nd shot. Same with the graphics card.

It's possible that your graphics card is toast.

I wouldn't assume that without more troubleshooting but that's the worst case scenario.

If it is, it looks like it's time for an upgrade anyways.

I wouldn't suggest getting a new one right now though.

I'd suggest getting a used 970 or 980 on ebay for like 150-200 bucks.

I can't see why it would be graphics card. I took the gpu out and the pc still wouldn't boot to bios. And when the computer turns on the fans for the gpu still spin. And I don't think it's time for an upgrade, that graphics card is a brand new MSI RX 580, it's like a $600 card and it's only 6 months old.

So I just found this out. There's no documentation about this in the manual which would be super helpful. There's 4 leds on the top of the mobo, you can see the amber one lit in some of the pics, not the bottom one. At the top of the case. The light that's lit indicates DRAM. So does that mean my memory is probably shot? I tried reseating the cards and swapping the slots and stuff to no avail, but they still light up, not sure if that's an indication of health, or just means they're getting power. Like I don't mind replacing parts. I just want to get the best guess on what part I'm replacing before I dish out $100 to $200 on something that's not even broke.

Make sure the 24 pin is pushed enough in.

Yup, tried that. Unfortunately nothing. Which is quite upsetting. I wish it was something that easy. This is becoming really infuriating. I'm leaning towards buying new ram cards, but I really don't wanna blow 200 replacing them if they're not broken. I have no way to test them, or anything else in this pc either. The only thing I have to go on is that DRAM error light. Anybody have any ideas on what could give me that error light if it's not the ram cards themselves? Like could the slots in the Mobo itself be fried. I sent an email to Asus to see if I can send it in under the warranty. I'd really kinda prefer if the motherboard itself was just fried, that'd be cheaper than buying new ram cards.

I just got the computer on! I've been concentrating my efforts on the RAM cards. And it seems like the 2 slots I originally had them plugged into are fried. Which sucks, but at least I got it started. It is detecting all 16 gigs of ram, my gpu, and obviously my cpu. So that limits my problems to the motherboard. Which I'm seriously now considering replacing. While I was searching for solutions it seems like quite a few people had similar unsolved problems with this ASUS B350f mobo. So, idk, maybe it's a problem with it. Thanks to everyone for the help/input! It was super appreciated.
