OBS (Recording Issues)

Bryce2254

Sorry if this wasn’t the correct place to post this but,

I use OBS i record a lot of my gameplay to get clips and what not. So i usually just record the whole time i’m playing occasionally stopping. But after the whole spectre and meltdown stuff my computer (built myself) updated a few times throughout the week and i wasn’t recording much then i tried recording just recently and my game would be fine but the recordings would come out very laggy/choppy and i tried updating obs/changing game settings but nothing has worked, If anyone could help I would appreciate it!!

I have a Quad Core i5-7600

Asus Radeon Rx580

and 16Gb of ram if that makes a difference

I cannot say what your issue is, however you can use AMD's new Re Live software.

The only downside (which you won't experience) is that multiple recordings may record at different FPS values. My experience is that it's when the Hard drive didn't spin up and you tell it to record all the sudden.

If you record 1 really long clip, then you'll have no issues.

I only have issues because Lightworks is the bane of my existence. Did you know there's like 3 or something different types of mp3 audio files? Yeah... there are....
