Duel monitor setup issue

So recently i bought a ASUS PG248Q 180hz Tn monitor(i run through Display Port)  and i also have a Dell SE2416H IPS monitor(i run through HDMI)

 

I changed the display settings to Duplicate and my Asus is my primary screen and the dell the 2nd.

 

The issue i have is when i start my pc up, the monitor goes on but it says no display.

the way i fix it is to switch the ASUS screen off, and then back on and then i have display. any reason for this? is my settings not correct?

i feel like if i had to switch my screen on and off the whole time it will get busted over time.
