The X4 880K is top of the line, but you could also get away with the 870K or 860K and overclock.

The A10-7890K is the best APU, but I wouldn't recommend APUs because you have a graphics card.

I have a prebuilt pc with a fm2/fm2+ socket. I’m looking to upgrade my prosessor from an A6-7400K. What would be the best cpu for 1080p gaming on the market right now? Computer specs below!

 

CPU: AMD A6-7400K

GPU: Gigabyte RX 460 Windforce Overclockable 4GB Edition

Motherboard: GA-F2A68HM-H

RAM:16GB DDR3

Athlon X4 880K, but it'll bottleneck most higher end GPUs.

Yeah it shouldn't bottleneck an RX 460 unless a game is really CPU-intensive
