My config :
Mobo : Asus Maximus Ranger VIII

CPU : i3 7100

Ram : HyperX fury 2133mhz ddr4 8 gb
SSD : 120 gb
HDD : 1tb

GPU : Asus 7970 DC2
PSU : Raidmax Cobra 550w 80bronze

I cant get pc to show pic on monitor ,  only via integrated GPU via HDMI , i am using VGA with DVI adapter . GPU lights are solid green and fans are spining, but still i have no picture. BTW GPU is near silent and almost cold to touch .

Things i tryed :
Installing driver from amd (latest adrenalin) when i was using hdmi with integrated
Switching ram place

updating bios

replacing little battery on mobo

....

i am pretty much desperate right now ...i just put shit together to buy components and now i cant even use it properly. I almost sold left kidney for more RAM since here in Serbia is expensive af.

Go into your BIOS, and find GFX Configuration or something similar. Change that to make whatever shows up on your PCIe slot the main GPU

Will do asap ....

Update on my own : GTX 680 working in x16 slot ( first slot ) without any issues. 7970 working in x8 as a charm ...will it be underpowered cause of x8 slot ? :/ Updated BIOS , drivers , and system...dont know what is going on . Seems like x16 cant handle voltage from 7970 with 2x8 pin....dont have any other reasonable explanation.

It'll just run at x8 speed which is okay for gaming. You can game at any PCIe speed above x2 I believe.
