Start menu not opening

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, I'm still fairly new to this forum.

 

Hey, I updated my PC to the new 1709 Fall Creators windows update and it seems that the next day whenever I clicked on the windows logo, pressed the windows key or right clicked and clicked search nothing would happen.

When restarting windows explorer in task manager the start menu works for about 30 seconds and then stops again.

 

If anyone knows a possible fix that would be great, thanks.

It's a known issue that was addressed in a subsequent patch, which you should have available. If you don't, then try these steps:
