I need to upgrade my ageing 560 ti, so I have been looking at the Fury X. If I can get it for less than 300$ USD used, is it good value? I want an AMD card because I want to utilize freesync on a monitor I also plan to buy. The only two downsides I can see to this card is the power consumption, at a hefty 275 watt tdp, and the relatively small 4gb of VRAM, the first of which is negligible to me and my power supply is sufficient at 650w, and the second, doesn't seem to bottleneck the card when I watch benchmarks. It appears to have significantly better performance than a 1060 6gb, while very slightly behind a 1070.

Is there anything better at this pricepoint that you suggest, preferably AMD cards for freesync, that will also provide a similar level of performance, or reasons why this card is not a good value or should not be bought?

It's really hard to say I always had a soft spot for the fury cards but the 4gb of ram on a card that is built for 1440p makes it hard to recommend one. I'd say start saving up for a vega 56 but, if you find a solid deal on a fury pull the trigger.

R7 2700x (4.3ghz), Gtx Titan Xp Galactic Empire (Watercooled), 2x8 Gskill Trident 3200mhz, Asus Crosshair VII Hero Wifi, Corsair 900D, SAMSUNG 960 PRO M.2 256gb, Samsung 850 evo 500gb, 4x3tb 7200rpm Segate Barracudas in Raid 10 EKWB Custom Loop, Corsair AX1500i Power supply

I would, but unfortunately they are out of stock at the moment and the only place you can get them is ebay for about 650$, and even when they are in stock they are about 600$

maybe if the price situation is less out of whack when I buy ill consider it.
