Yeah, just didn't know if he had any other suggestions. Just wanted to get an idea of what I could get. Ill probably end up buying the V2, looks nice and seems simple to setup. Thanks!

Np. As I have the V2 I can say the installation is very easy, but prepare for teh tubes. Those are quite stiff. Have fun!

Hey guys, I havent had experience with liquid cooling yet. I will eventually be upgrading my 8350x to ryzen. Was curious on if I should pick this liquid cooler up now while it is on sale for 50.

Yeah you can use this liquid cooler. But AIOs under 240mm aren't really worth it. Might aswell pick up something bigger like the h100i.

I got my H100i v2 yesterday and on my R5 1600 overclocked to 3.9GHz I only get 65C on the CPU maximum. The 240s have more surface area and so.

My Box of Fµn:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600

GPU - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Windforce

RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4

MoBo - MSI B350 PC Mate

Case - Phanteks P400s Tempered Glass

PSU - BeQuiet 500W PurePower 10

Fans - BeQuiet PureWings 120mm x3; 140mm x2

Cooler - Corsair H100i v2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and THE POWER OF RGB

I see. My main thing was that it was on sale for a pretty cheap price. I suppose that if anything, I could just put the extra money in for a better cooler if its worth my while.

our experience with the h60 is is just enough, but most experience a loud fan to just keep the CPU cool enough, just to spend $15-$20 more on another fan.

so that puts you into mid-high ended air coolers with better performance with quiet running.

Is there any decent coolers that you could recommend? I don't mind spending more. I just have little experience so I am also looking for something that is a little noob proof if possible.

Like I said, the H100i v2 might seem a bit overkill on a ryzen 5 but does just fine. The only problem is that the fans have a terrible fan curve, but this can be changed in corsair link

I've got an overclocked i7-7700k at 4.78Ghz stable with an H100i v2. I swapped out the Corsair fans for two Noctua NF-F12's and set the pump to run full speed 24/7 but the fans I set at a static speed of 50% so that I can't hear them. On any game and most synthetic benchmarks I wont see a temp about 65c. I've got the fans set to a push (blowing out) configuration and 3 other corsair case fans pulling air into (pull) the system. It is by far the most stable case cooling setup I've ever tried in 20+ years. With sales and tax the total cooling system was less than $140usd.

Are aftermarket fans really worth it here? I mean the stock corsair fans deliver quite good performance to me

It's true. They aren't worth the $19 USD per fan, but Linus has raved about them for years and I wanted to see what the deal was. They are noticeably quieter than the stock corsair fans as well, though I think that was the sound dampening from the rubber grommets.
