Odd problem regarding calls

Okay so I just purchased a unlocked zte v8 pro , got it set up on straight talk with att towers no sweat , but as I was trying to call someone it didn't go through, it just timed out, I tried two more times , only one out of the two it started ringing, and also I'm pretty sure no one can call me any insight would be helpful I've searched Google and tried to troubleshoot but still getting same results
