Windows 7 crash

Est_Rain

Windows 7 won't boot, gets stuck on the logo, when I try to repair, it crashes, when I try to boot in safe mode it crashes, when I try to re-install using usb device it crashes on "Setup is starting".

Its not a newly installed os, its just randomly happened on startup.

What do I do?

OS is on 128GB SSD

Windows 7 Professional

CPU AMD FX:8350
GPU: R9 290

4x4 GB DDR3

Hmm... do you have any ways of reformatting that SSD first before you try to re-install windows? (Using command-line, plugging it into another pc, etc..)

Sadly no,

I'm looking for a bootable disk cleaning tool as a last resort, but I don't know which one to trust.

Out of curiosity... have you tried using the windows media creation tool and try installing windows 10?

No

You should give that a shot. If that works then at least you will have the ability to run some SSD health diagnostic tools. What brand of SSD is yours btw and how old is it?

Ok, but yeah... try the Media Creation Tool or even a Live Linux USB and see if you can reformat/ test that SSD.
