Intel ME Patch for Linux-System

Hi,

need help to patch my Linux-Mint system with the Intel ME Patch - but don 't know how to do.

Have an ASUS z170 MB and Intel i5 6600 CPU. I have already checked - there is no BIOS Update for this MB so far... any other options?

Have found this: http://blog.system76.com/post/168050597573/system76-me-firmware-updates-plan

Would the system76 patch be the best solution?
