Hello Guys,

I bought an i5 8600K CPU 2 Weeks ago and been having problems overclocking it. I read everywhere from CPUs overclock at 1.2 Volts and 5 Ghz. My CPU only achives 4,6 Ghz at 1,4 Volt and with an AIO Watercooler I get 80 degrees celcius on Prime95 V26,6. Do u have any advices 4 me. Its my CPU faulty or I just was extremly unlucky with my CPU???

Have you tried a BIOS update for your PC's Motherboard (if it isn't already up to date)?

Prime95 is going to hammer your CPU using AVX instructions and cause temps to go through the roof. Perhaps try an AVX offset or use Prime95 version 26.6.b3 that is latest without AVX  support.

There is a reddit post about this titled "Very poor overclocking results with 8600k" that might be of some help.
