Small laptop for VR

Need a small laptop for VR (Assetto Corsa so a 1060 could run it, I'm just avoiding a Max-Q or 3GB model) and also some video editing.

I already have a desktop, I just want something I can travel with and easily take to a friends house for VR sim racing.

Something with a SSD, i7, 16GB of RAM, etc.

Smaller the better. I'm not too worried about battery life or things like the webcam. Budget is $1500 USD or less. Preferably closer to $1000.

Currently I'm looking at the Gigabyte Aero 14" or Aorus X3 13.9".
