This may seem like kind of a dumb question to some of you, but anyways is it worth it to upgrade from an i5-7600K to a i7-7700K?

it's always an if, that's why we suggest you specify what you're using it for

For higher refresh rate gaming, you can push 60 fps easy with a 7600k but games start to demand more than 4 threads.

I mostly use my system for gaming although I like to stream from time to time.

then that's the 7700k nobrainer, just better overall performance and actually playable whilst streaming in most games

Yeah I would upgrade to a 7700k, heck a purchased one yesterday for my first PC, there on sale!
