First Custom Loop Planning

Dobby

Hi, this is my first post here (:

Currently planning out my first custom loop. And I'm stuck on what res and pump to get.

I was thinking of getting either the XSPC D5 Photon 170 Reservoir/Pump Combo or the Phobya Balancer 150 paired with the Swiftech MCP655. If they're are better options out there for around the same price ($170.00 AUD) please let me know.

Other parts chosen so far:

Corsair 750D

Asus Maximus vi hero

I5 4670K

Asus GTX780 DC2OC

Corsair Dominator Platinum 16gb 1866mhz

Corsair AX860

Samsung 840 EVO 250gb

WD Blue 1TB

As for water cooling I plan on getting:

Koolance 380i CPU

PrimoChill Advanced LRT 3/8ID 5/8 OD in red

Koolance VID-NXTTN GPU

Koolance Compression Fittings

As for radiators, I plan on putting a an Alphacool XT45 360mm in the top of the case. And in the front an Alphacool UT60 280mm.

Please tell me if I've done something wrong, I am new to computer building.

not so quick on 60mm in the roof. depending on motherboard (ASUS Hero especially)

the 8-pin power plug will be in a very tight bind that will cause the 60mm radiator to put

extreme pressure on the 8-pin and cause the motherboard to be in a bind against the

radiator. the Rampage has a similar issue, but not as problematic as the Hero. i've

tried both along with others and they all seem to have the same issue with 60mm.

the 45mm is a breeze, but that last 15mm is/can be a deal breaker. even removing the

rubber grommets and off-setting the rad mounts 5mm would help, but the ODD cage is

impeding the progress. another corsair moment.
