a shoddy one

Have you used an intel stock cooler? they're actually not as bad as people make them out to be. The main problem with them is how loud they are.

It'll be fine for cooling this whilst gaming.

my one experience was with a haswell i3 and the stock cooler struggled to keep the little dual core below 70 degrees

so imo, theyre awful

I'd be tempted to say maybe it wasn't mounted right in that case. Either that or they've drastically improved the stock coolers performance since the haswell days.

Probably a bad mount. Stock cooler on my 775 pentium dual core keeps it under 65 degrees while OC'd to 3.5 from 2.6.

You wont get the full 144hz unless you're playing games like CS:GO and Overwatch.

Other than that its pretty good. could probably get an EVGA G2/G3 powersupply for the same price, slightly better quality.

What if I upgrade to a 1080 instead of the 1070 ti?
