i7-7800x

Go to solution Solved by m0k,

your cpu is just fine

Hello!

Alright so I built my computer for gaming. I currently have a x299 Mobo with an i7-7800x @ 3.5Ghz paired with a 1080ti.

My question is, should I get a CPU with a highest frequency but less threads and cores for gaming while staying on the x299 platform or my CPU is just fine?

Tried a bunch of times but it failed everytime.. I checked a lot of guides but I can't manage to OC it

even by adjusting voltage you couldnt overclock it?? like at all?

6 core and 12 thread is literally the best place for you right now, dont downgrade to 4c 8t

i would suggest finding someone local in your area to help you overclock if youre having a hard time with it

or even a computer shop that builds custom pc's

My CPU is overclcockable, but because of me it can't be ^^
