GTA III not working

I bought Grand Theft Auto 3 steam key from G2A and when i tried to boot it up it said i needed DX 8.1 (have that) And i read somewhere about Direct Components in the control panel, enabled that.

But now it just says "Cannot find 640/480 video mode"

It is widely believed to be a that people steal credit cards to buy keys, and sell them on G2A for stolen profit. 

Credit card companies take the money away from the developer, and the pirate/thief gets away Scott free. 

 

Search "total biscuit g2a" and you'll find a video by "sitar biscuit the cynical Brit" ranting about these accusations with the support of major gaming companies like Gearbox or 2K (whoever made bulletstorm remastered)
