Usb Port does not recognize USB

Go to solution Solved by Sauron,

Check that the internal cable is properly connected to the motherboard headers.

I have a fractal design with 4 USB ports in the front Two of them are 2.0 and two 3.0 The problem is one of the 3.0 doesnt recognize the USB when i plug it in. But if i plug my phone charger in it i can see that it gives out power.

Oh one more thing if i plug an USB in it i can also here the sound that it is connected.

So what you think the problem is, Drivers,etc..?

Thanks man that was it, really odd :), When i opened the case and just touched the usb 3.0 cable it directly fell off haha. The thing is it is still pretty loose and i think it will lose connection in the future again if i move the case, is this a common problem with the 3.0 cable just wondering?

The funny thing after everything i wanted to start computer and in would not turn on haha i was liek oh shit and for 15 minutes i tried to see what i messed up, The Power SW cable fell off too hahaha of all the cables Xd.

But yes your suggestion did resolve this problem thanks :).

It's probably a defective cable, it shouldn't be very lose (in fact I often have problems sticking those things all the way in since they're generally very tight). Nothing to worry about, if it falls off you can just plug it back in (maybe use some isolating tape to keep it in place if it happens again).

If it solved your problem mark the answer as correct so the topic will show as "solved" :) -edit- ok never mind you did that right after I posted this :P

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
