OVERCLOCKING WITH I5

hello everyone........ i just assembled a pc particularly for gaming. the parts i used  are i5 6400, zotac gtx 1060, 120 gb wd green ssd, 2tb wd blue hdd,8gb corsair vengence 2400, cooler master  rs-500-acab-b1 psu and asus tuf z270 mark 2. I was wondering can i overclock my processor even though its a non k series processor. I have seen some posts in which some people said that they have overclocked there i5 6400 upto 4.5 ghz with a z series mobo. If its true can someone please help me with the stable overclocking. THANK YOU

You can possibly overclock with the BCLK but it's not really worth it.

 

Also can you set text colour to default please, impossible to read on night theme.

pretty sure the z270 microcode completely locks the bclk on non k processors.  if you had a z170 and an old bios that allowed for overclocking non-k then you should be able to  do it.

i was able to change the bclk values. the problem is with the core voltage ...... it saays you have to turn on the CPU_OV.... to change it
