whole PC unresponsive

Go to solution Solved by LabRat,

if you have the operating install disc you can try a repair or a new install.

I would disconnect the HD first.

Im having an issue on my PC idk how it happened but I noticed it first when the task manager is not responding (just a blank square), so I restarted my pc and for some reason it started up longer than usual (OS on ssd) and when I got to the main screen my whole taskbar is unresposive, it has the blue loading mouse pointer. my whole pinned icons are not there, start menu is non clickable and I cant even open any browser. tried waiting an hour to see if the icons load but they never did, even tried clean booting and it just went to a forever "restarting" screen. so wondering if any of you ever experienced this and solved it because right now my PC is unusable

guess that really is my only option, was trying to find other solutions but most wont work since they need to run as admin and if i try to right click those apps windows explorer just freeze indefinitely

Cause something similar happened to me, my hdd was acting up, removed it, then everything worked back to normal. Had to replace the faulty hdd.

It could be that SSD has issues, or just cable. Is your pagefile default size?

So I waited around 3 hours to see if anything changes and it did, taskbar was responding but start menu was un clickable but right click works on it, task manager is still unresponsive, still cant open any browser  and when I right click anything on file explorer it still freezes. a little better but its only temporary
