HDD not being read

I took my hard drive out for like 5 seconds just to test fit it in my other laptop (I didn't change any files I didn't even turn on the laptop and I properly removed it while my PC was off both times) now all of the sudden my PC refuses to read it. It gets power I can hear it spin up at the start but my computer just doesn't see it. Not in bios or Windows. What's going on with this thing, i've never had this happen before it's so sudden and annoying.

Pretty peculiar.

 

I remember once when I did it, I accidentally allowed a small screw loose and it perched itself right on top of two pins on the hard drive connectors in the back. (like 6 pins sticking out the back) I noticed the screw there, removed it, and it worked!

 

double check your drive's connectors for any thing that may be amiss. Scratchy connectors, bent pins, etc.
