ASUS z170i pro gaming, Samsung 960 EVO windows 10 install help!

Hi I have recently purchased a 960 EVO to have a better bootdrive and while I was performing a clean install for the ssd, the ssd would not appear correctly in the bios.

From what I have seen from the forums, I have tried most solutions that were listed online including

1. Disable CSM

2. Disconnect Harddrive with only the SSD to install windows 10.

3. Change the safe boot to os only instead of uefi

4. Update BIOS

The odd thing is that this has actually happened to me before for the harddrive as well.

When I first installed the harddrive, the only way I was able to do it was by installing windows 10 to the harddrive from another computer. Only then I would be able to find the harddrive partition "windows boot manager" in the bios.

Of course I would try and do this for the new ssd as well, but m.2 drives are new and I don't know people who have a simple m.2 slot to do the same thing I have done for my first harddrive install.

In addition, when I install windows 10 when I have CSM set as auto instead of disabled, I would be able to see the ssd listed as 960 samsung evo under boot option, but it does not have the windows boot manager partition listed as a boot option. I tried to force boot to the 960 evo, but it would just flash an under score (kinda like the terminal screen for old dos devices) and come back to bios

This is my first time using a asus motherboard( used an asrock before) and first itx build. Is there some setting that i am missing or is it possible that the motherboard is faulty?

also i tried to install windows to my harddrive since I was encountering the errors, and for some reason it crashed with an error log and I cannot have it connected to the mobo by sata or else the computer would not be able to boot to bios settings at all.

I would really like some help since i do no need this computer for my classes
