Internet fame

Does it mean anything to you ? And how do you perceive it as a phenomena ?

 

PS : I should've been more precise, i'm talking about forums, you know, people posting over and over and over just to be recognized everywhere inside it.

To a degree, its nice to be noticed and listened to, the more people know you the more what you say will be listened to.

The problem being that it seems some just assume you get noticed by posting everywhere, and not necessarily contributing anything to the conversation at hand.

You end up with people with huge post counts with barely any actual help.

 

Obviously there are people who post alot but also help alot and they thankfully seem to be here, not really seen anyone who posts for the sake of posting.

I'm pretty sure people don't keep posting just to get recognised..

I'm indifferent about "Internet fame" as long as people are not "attention whoring". Don't post if you don't have anything to add to the discussion. If you don't care about a topic then ignore it, don't go into the thread and just post "I don't care". Post count number of likes you got and your user rating means nothing at all by the way. More posts does not make your opinion worth more than other peoples' opinions, nor does a high post count mean that you know what you're talking about.
