I have a CX850M power supply (I had this in my previous PC and moved it over). My current Mother board requires 2x8pin power connector to power the CPU. My current issue is as follows, I can't seem to find a cable to connect to my semi-modular power supply to power both sockets.  Is there any place that sells these cables that work with this power supply and if not would it be too difficult (dangerous?) to mod one made for a different power supply to my needs?  It has occurred to me I'm just wasting my time and I should probably buy a new one, however I cannot seem to find a power supply with 2 cables for a CPU, is 850W or more, is not ridiculously expensive and is from a reputable brand (I have seen too many computers get fried from a bad PS)

Any assistance is duly appreciated.

Thanks

Doesn't matter if it's green label or grey label.  Either CX-M would use a Type 3 EPS12V cable.
