Hi. I have an asus g751jt which I sent for repairs and I was told the ic near the power jack has blown and I have to change the board. Is there any other of fixing this probably by replacing the ic or something because I don't have that kind of money to buy an entire board for it which is the same price as a new pc. It's the only high-end pc I got and the potato I'm using isn't good enough to let me start work. Thanks.

post hi res pictures of the damaged circuit board.

Some things are hand repairable some are not, detailed images of the damaged area, along with any information they gave you about which IC is dead will be helpful.

I talk in brackets (a bit like this (sometimes multilayered) (I know it's hard to read but I sort of think like this(maybe it has something to do with being a programmer)))
