Windows 8.1 Infinite reboot loop

Go to solution Solved by Buttlet,

I had the same problem but found a solution.

I booted windows in safe mode, went to task manager, startup tab. There was a file named lol_nub (no joke) I deleted the file and everything went back to normal.

Hope this help!

Hey guys,

My laptop keeps rebooting itself after a command prompt that says C:/windows/system32/shutdown /r /t 0

Is there a fix to this?

By right it will only restart once immediately for that command and not infinite loop ... Hopefully some one here can help you instead. Sorry couldn't help you on it.

Could it be a malware?

Well ... It could be ... Or it could be your laptop is faulty? I really don't know. All I know is that command is telling your computer (laptop) to /r (restart) /t (time) 0 (like now). So in theory it should only reboot once.

The thing is everytime it reboots back into windows, the command keeps popping up over and over again.

Ok ... If that is the case then yah, most likely will be malware or something like that. Able to boot into safe mode? then run anti virus or something like that? (I'm really bad in this, I apologies).
